The Dig, an epic science fiction adventure inspired by Steven Spielberg, features a team of space explorers who get kidnapped to an alien planet. In addition to Spielberg, contributions to the title are made by special effects wizards, Industrial Light & Magic, and award-winning science fiction writer, Orson Scott Card. The game released simultaneously with a novel, audio drama and CD soundtrack. At launch, The Dig became LucasArts best-selling adventure game with 300,000 units sold worldwide.
