The Dig for MAC

Three astronauts are mysteriously transported to an alien world where they uncover artifacts of an ancient, yet advanced, civilization. They must sift through the ruins to assemble the technology to take them home.
The Dig for PC

This adventure game, based on a story written by Steven Spielberg for his Amazing Stories TV series, immersed players in the role of Boston Low. Low was an astronaut voiced by actor Robert Patrick, who is perhaps best known for playing Arnold Schwarzenegger's rival in Terminator 2. The ensuing adventure featured more than 200 locations and a storyline that lived up to the game's tagline: “In the Dead of Space, Something is Alive.”

The Dig by Alan Dean Foster (Paperback)

Three astronauts are mysteriously transported to an alien world where they uncover artifacts of an ancient, yet advanced, civilization. They must sift through the ruins to assemble the technology to take them home.
The Dig [ABRIDGED] (Audio Cassette)

When a mile-wide asteroid appears in orbit around Earth, ex-astronaut Boston Low is called on to return to space and nudge the monster into a stable position. When he, a journalist and a scientist investigate the asteroid's surface, they enter a time and place of mystery, danger and revelation: the planet Cocytus, once home to an intelligent race but now a haunted museum to their incredibly advanced civilization. An epic science fiction adventure too big for even Steven Spielberg to bring to the screen!

Forbidden Planet (1956) [DVD]

When Adams and his crew are sent to investigate the silence from a planet inhabited by scientists, he finds all but two have died. Dr. Morbius and his daughter Altaira have somehow survived a hideous monster which roams the planet. Unknown to Adams, Morbius has made a discovery, and has no intention of sharing it (or his daughter!) with anyone.

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (Two-Disc Special Edition) (1948) [DVD]

Dobbs and Curtin meet up in Mexico, and go to work for a contractor, Pat McCormick, who takes them away to remote site and tells them they will be paid when the job is finished. When they are finished, they return to town to find McCormick to get their wages. McCormick gives them a few dollars, and says he'll just go to the bank and pick up the payroll for them. Dobbs and Curtin then meet up with an old prospector, who claims the hills are still full of gold, and if they can get the cash, he'll go with them. They eventually get the cash from McCormick after a little "persuasion", and all three set off for the hills as good friends, but will they return that way?
